Lucone, un clochard schizofrenico che si aggira per le strade di Roma, cerca di convincere tutti di essere la persona più famosa e ricca del mondo. Ma la sua vera lotta è quella di sopravvivere alla dipendenza dall'alcol e dalle droghe psicotrope. Suo nipote e regista cinematografico Andrea arriverà per salvarlo in un momento cruciale, con un piano che lo riporterà alla fama e alla salute.
Lucone, a schizophrenic clochard hitting the streets of Rome try to convince everybody he is the most famous and rich person in the world. But his real struggle is surviving his addiction to alcohol and psychotropic drugs. His nephew and film-maker Andrea will come to rescue him at a crucial point, with a plan that will bring him back to stardom and health.
Un film su Lucone è un documentario composto da un archivio di video e fotografie, che Ludovico Andrea D’Auria vuole utilizzare come canale per raccontare una storia personale, rilevante per molti. Il progetto ruota attorno a tre temi principali: la salute mentale, la percezione della fama e le relazioni in una famiglia sull'orlo dell'estinzione; tutti e tre ambientati in una Roma decadente. Tutto inizia con la necessità di valutare la posizione di una mentalità singolare che crea la percezione della fama, che Andrea trova e impara dallo zio schizofrenico Luca, un noto clochard che milita nel centro storico di Roma.
Andrea inizia a fotografare Lucone come segno di dissenso, non appena capisce che la sua famiglia abbandonato lo zio molto tempo prima che questo film iniziasse. La storia è ambientata poco dopo la morte di Luigi, il vecchio patriarca di questa famiglia. Lui era l'unico che poteva avere il controllo sullo stravagante e bisognoso Lucone, un uomo grande e grosso di 50 anni.

The project revolves around three main themes: mental health, the perception of fame, and relationships within a family on the verge of extinction—all set against the backdrop of a decaying Rome. It begins with the need to explore the unique mindset that shapes the perception of fame, which Andrea discovers and learns from his schizophrenic uncle Luca, a well-known homeless man navigating the historic center of Rome.
